CB Photography launches new website for Vancouver Island Wedding photography
Chris Boar of CB Photography has been photographing weddings across Vancouver Island for nearly a decade. In which time he has covered over 400 weddings. Originally from the UK, Chris was proud to become a Canadian Citizen back in 2013, and is now a dual national, but still retains his obvious British accent much to the delight of local Canadians!
Shooting ceremonies from Victoria to Campbell River, and Nanaimo to the Uclulet/Tofino area, Chris has shot at all of the most popular destinations to get married across the island, and his new website reflects all those locations with some stunning imagery of happy couples tying the knot.
Chris’s philosophy when it comes to weddings is simple. That special day is about ONE thing, spending precious time celebrating with those closest to you. As such Chris’s priority on a client’s weddings day is to records those important relationships for his clients. Many never to repeated moments will occur during the day that will mean so much to the bride and groom, Chris will be there to capture them.
Some of Chris’s favorite wedding locations are along the Pacific Rim area, Ucluelet to Tofino, and the many beaches in between. Over the years Chris has had the honour to witness many weddings along the coast line from big resorts to small B&B rentals.
He has photographed many weddings at the Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet, including the ceremony of their very own wedding planner! It’s a great spot for photographs, not only around the resort, but down on Big Beach, and along the adjacent Wild Pacific Trail. And only 5 minutes way is another great photo location by the Lighthouse, overlooking the Broken Island chain and the open Pacific. Chris has many specatacular images of bride and grooms on the rocks framed by the Islands and the Lighthouse.
Further along the Pacific Rim is another great location to get married. Long Beach Lodge on Cox Bay, a wonderful spot with a patio for ceremonies and many options for wedding photos afterwards. For example along the beach, and on the boardwalk in the forest at the end of the beach, are two local spots. Chris has photographed many weddings over the years at the Lodge. You can’t go wrong.
Chris has built up an intimate knowledge of the local area allowing him to think and plan on the fly, for example having a last minute change of destination due to temporary sea mist/fog, Chris will often drive clients to areas with better shooting options/weather.
CB Photography’s new website has been designed to be very user friendly, minimal menus and intuitive navigation for brides. All relevant info is laid out, including many of Chris’s favorite images. The new website has helpful separate galleries for different parts of the island, allowing brides to get an idea on potential locations for their big day. The website contains hundreds of images including all of Chris’s latest work from around the Island. Finally a friendly contact page allows clients to tell Chris all the relevant information about their wedding plans. The key part of the website is the home page video showing an interview with Chris about his style, interspersed with some of his personal favorite images.
